Reena and Nik’s wedding at Brocket Hall Golf Club was just fabulous. Reena was absolutely gorgeous in her sparkly Mona Vora dress, and Nik looked handsome in his traditional morning suit. It was a fusion of cultures, with style and colour. Getting ready in a busy household was my start to the day, with a great atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. Reena’s close family were all around her, all with tasks to complete before heading off to Brocket Hall Golf Club for the ceremony.
Nik won’t forget Reena’s smiling face as she walked up the aisle towards him, with her young bridesmaid and ring bearer leading the way. I know most of the Hertfordshire registrars now, and as always they were friendly and sincere, and conducted a moving and meaningful ceremony.
The grounds at Brocket Hall are beautiful, and I’ll never tire of that gorgeous vista across the lake towards the bridge. Ah, now, the bridge. Very significant for Reena and Nik – he proposed to Reena right on it. We simply had to take some photographs there, and Alex, the most excellent event manager, arranged a golf buggy for us to scoot off in, with Nik ably demonstrating his rally-cross driving techniques! In fact I had two bites at the portraits cherry, one on the famous bridge, and later on, dodging the raindrops, in the old walled garden.
An excellent day, ending back at Reena’s parents’ house, with the traditional and very moving leaving ceremony, tears of sadness and of joy.
